Checking the Naughty & Nice Lists
All you wonderful boys and girls, I am so looking forward to this Christmas season.
Our entire team has been so busy preparing for the upcoming season. Of course, we are thoroughly enjoying our summer too! Up here at the Pole it is a restful, yet busy, time of year. But we enjoy it knowing full well that it brings all of you such anticipation and joy!
One of the tasks I undertake every July is to simply peek at the book that holds the Naughty and Nice Lists to see who out there may need a word of encouragement or two. It’s always so good to see that many of you are such well-behaved children; completing your chores, attending summer school, helping others out, not fighting with your siblings and most importantly; being respectful and honoring your parents and grandparents. There are a few of you, however, that need just a little nudge to move from the Naughty side of the book to the Nice side…and there is still plenty of time! After all, a little love goes a long way. These words I share with you are coming from a place of love.
Ole – might not be a bad idea to pick up the phone to call your aging grandpa. You know he thinks of you each day.
Elodie – when people reach out to you it would be thoughtful and respectful to respond to the messages. With the phones nowadays, a simple text means as much as an email. Imagine what a letter would do?!
Rosalyn – seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, perhaps making your bed, folding clothes, and putting them away would be helpful for your home efficiency. Break that chain my dear, break the family non-bed-making chain.
Nicholas – you may want to guard your tongue just a little. There are little ones lurking around so many corners and you want to be a good influence on them.
Shakia – you occasionally do not Facetime your grandma and she misses you so! Share that sweet smile of yours as often as you can.
Ada – at the end of the day, you will feel so much better if you do not fight with your sister Lacy so often. She is your little sister and she loving looks up to you.
Tommy, Sammy, Jillyn, Issa, Danny, Julie, Tara, Bridget, and a few others….Remember that when you are given chores you should do them swiftly and do them well. It is good discipline to perform these tasks requested of you. Mind your parents.
Georgie, Tamara, Lucas, Sandi, Domika, Theresa, Karen, and a few others….Being good and kind to others will come back to you in so many good ways for years to come. Teasing and picking on others can hurt you as much as it hurts others.
All of you beautiful children, I know it’s tough out there sometimes and can be hard to follow the rules, but the Golden Rule will always win – Treat others as you wish to be treated! If you do this, you will find yourself on the Nice List very quickly!
I love you all so very much! Until I see you in December and as My Mrs. Claus always says…
Be good and kind, we’ll see you next time!
